Privacy policy
utilgg website and the utilgg browser extension. Last updated: 27 September 2026.
In short
utilgg shows Counter-Strike 2 utility lineups. The extension reads which map is being voted on in your FACEIT match room and opens that map's guide. It does not read your messages, your FACEIT account details, your passwords or any other website. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers. There are no ads and no third-party analytics.
What the extension reads and sends
| What | Where it goes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Short texts on faceit.com pages that exactly match a map name (for example "Mirage"), the match ID from the page address, and the page address itself | The utilgg server (utilgg.halilakkaya.dev), a few times a second while a FACEIT page is open | To decide when the map vote is over, so the right guide opens |
| Whether a "Connect" button and its countdown are shown in the match room | Stays in your browser (extension storage) | To show the connect countdown on the guide tab |
| Your settings (on/off, server address, which matches already opened a guide) | Stays in your browser (Chrome storage, synced by Chrome if you use Chrome sync) | So the extension remembers them |
The server keeps a log line each time the detected state changes (time, match ID, detected map names, page address) to improve map detection. It contains no name, e-mail or account of yours. Like every web server, ours also sees the IP address of each request in its standard access logs, used only to keep the service running and secure.
The website
- Without an account your filters and notes stay in your browser (local storage).
- With an account (e-mail and password, or sign-in with FACEIT or Steam) we store your e-mail or nickname, your own lineups and notes, and the map of the FACEIT match you are playing, so your phone can follow it. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.
- Position tracking (beta): if you share your game screen with the page, the picture is analysed in your browser and never uploaded. Only when you are signed in, your position on the map (map, side, x/y) is sent so your phone can show it; it is kept in memory for a few seconds and not stored.
- Videos are played from our server or from YouTube (YouTube's own privacy policy applies to its player).
Your choices
- Turn the extension off in its popup, or remove it; its data is removed with it.
- To have your account and its data deleted, write to the address below.
